At Parker County Homeschool, we know the foundation of a strong education begins with the core subjects — Reading, Writing, and Math. Our Core Classes Program is designed to support homeschool families with high-quality, engaging instruction that complements what students are learning at home. Reading & Writing: Engaging Language Arts for Every Age

Our writing classes give students the chance to explore a variety of styles — from persuasive pieces and biographies to research papers and creative stories. Teachers adjust instruction based on grade level, always weaving in grammar and vocabulary development to strengthen each student’s writing voice. For Reading & Literature, younger students (grades 1st–4th) benefit from the dynamic Rooted in Reading curriculum, which brings books to life through interactive discussions and comprehension activities. Older students (5th grade and up) engage in rich novel studies, connecting deeply with literature through vocabulary work, comprehension discussions, and creative projects.

Math is taught using the time-tested Saxon Math curriculum, known for its strong spiral approach that helps students build long-term retention and skills mastery.
